So much for the storm! As Dorian makes its way toward the Florida coast, Donald Trump and his entourage have decided to ride out the afternoon at his golf club in suburban Virginia. For those keeping count, this is Trump’s 227th day at a Trump golf club and 295th day at a Trump property since he was inaugurated.
It was only yesterday when Trump paid a visit to FEMA headquarters for a briefing. It was there that he said, for the fifth time on record, that he’s never heard of a Category 5 hurricane.
Meanwhile, not wanting to miss the action on spending tax dollars at Trump properties, Vice President Pence, en route from Poland to Ireland, lands in Shannon, where he checks into Trump’s golf resort at Doonbeg. Trump’s resort is nearly 60 miles from the airport.
Pence will spend the night in Doonbeg then fly back across Ireland to Dublin for meetings. A curious taxpayer might ask why he didn’t fly to Dublin in the first place?
