White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders refused to comment on the controversial comments made by White House aide Kelly Sadler. Wednesday Sadler reportedly said not to worry about Sen. John McCain’s pushback on Gina Haspel for CIA director because “he’s dying anyway.” The comment seems to have been confirmed as Sadler herself called Megan McCain to apologize, but apparently, that isn’t enough for this White House. Not only won’t they confirm the comment was made, Sanders dismissed questions about this topic altogether.
Over and over again, reporters gave Sanders the opportunity to condemn Sadler's comments or apologize to McCain. And over and over again, Sanders dodged and said she wouldn't "validate a leak out of an internal staff meeting one way or the other."

And Joe Biden is going to bat for McCain. CNN reports that McCain was diagnosed with the same type of brain cancer that Biden’s own son, Beau Biden, succumbed to a few years back. Biden and McCain are good friends and Biden recently visited him in Arizona. Friday Biden declared,”People have wondered when decency would hit rock bottom with this administration. It happened yesterday.”

Meghan McCain also made a statement about this on The View saying, “I don’t understand what kind of environment you are working in when that would be acceptable.”
