Harvey Weinstein’s victims and accusers are reacting to the former movie mogul’s conviction for sexual assault and rape. The common theme from the women is that you can’t downplay the significance of the guilty verdict. Attorney Gloria Allred says:
“This is a new age. It’s the legal reckoning and women refuse to be silent about injustices against them anymore.”

One of Weinstein’s accusers, actress Rosanna Arquette said, “Even though it didn’t turn out 100% in the way for all five counts. It’s still landmark that this happened, a man like Harvey Weinstein, a powerful man, is being held accountable for his behavior, his predatory behavior.”
“He’s a convicted rapist, and that's something that's going to follow him for the rest of his life. I think this is a huge victory for women,” says Dawn Dunning, who testified against Harvey Weinstein.

24 hours after Weinstein was remanded into custody he is still not in jail. As he was being transferred to at Riker’s Island Monday, his attorney says he experienced high blood pressure and heart palpitations, so instead was diverted to Bellevue hospital.
Harvey Weinstein is in "good spirits," defense attorney said, as he remained hospitalized at Bellevue following convictions for criminal sex act and rape. Unclear when/if he'll be moved to Rikers
