Trump Listens To Shooting Victims, Suggests Arming Teachers

Donald Trump was invited to CNN’s Wednesday night Town Hall, but instead, he opted to skip it and hold his own “listening” session at the White House. Several parents of shooting victims, victims themselves and others touched by gun violence attended. During the event, the President said he would consider tougher background checks, raising the minimum age required to buy a gun and he stirred up controversy by suggesting we arm teachers with guns.

As Trump went around the room some students and parents offered compliments to the President, but a few also voiced their concerns. We suggest you go about 22 minutes into the video and listen to Andrew Pollack.  His daughter, Meadow was murdered during the shooting rampage in Parkland a week ago. He is angry and with good reason. He said in part, “How many schools, how many children have to get shot? It stops here with this administration and me. I’m not going to sleep until it is fixed. And Mr. President, we’ll fix it. Because I’m going to fix it. I‘m not going to rest.”
