It is a long-practiced pattern with Donald Trump. A friend or associate finds themselves in hot water or says something critical of the president. Suddenly a) Trump doesn’t know them or b) they were insignificant, bit players in Trump’s reality show. That’s already begun with Roger Stone. After Stone was arrested and indicted on Friday the president tweeted, “Roger Stone didn’t even work for me anywhere near the Election!” Then White House press secretary Sarah Sanders took it a step further on Monday saying that Stone’s arrest “has nothing to do with President Trump.” Watch above to see why Anderson Cooper says Sarah Sanders is wrong, “the investigation has everything to do with him… because it was his campaign.”
