There was lots of criticism (rightfully so) over Donald Trump taking time out of his schedule to host reality TV star Kim Kardashian earlier in the week at the White House. What was lost in the jokes about the meeting was that she was asking Trump to pardon a great-grandmother who is serving life in prison for a drug conviction. A day later Trump issued a pardon, but as The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah points out:

“After his meeting with Kim, President Trump decided to ignore her and instead pardon a right-wing troll who’s known for saying things like Obama is a gay Muslim, black people are thugs, the Charlottesville rally was staged. So basically Kim Kardasian said can you pardon a black grandmother? No but I can pardon a brown grand wizard, is that good enough.”
