It’s happened again. Less than a month after the mass shooting in a Boulder grocery store, there’s been another shooting inside a supermarket. It happened inside a Stop n’ Shop on Long Island. The AP reports:
The person killed was a 49-year-old employee, police said at an afternoon press conference near the scene. The shooting happened inside a manager’s office, upstairs from the shopping floor.
There were around “a couple hundred” people inside the store, Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder told reporters.
Police say the person of interest was either a current or former employee of the store. He fled the scene but was later captured.
