Donald Trump may have been delivering his address Wednesday from a teleprompter, but there were still plenty of errors. Here are some of the important points that needed to be clarified:
Trump: “To keep new cases from entering our shores, we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days.”
Clarification from The Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli:“This does not apply to American citizens or legal permanent residents or their families.”
Clarification from the White House: “The travel restriction applies to foreign nationals who have been in 26 European countries with open borders agreements, in the last 14 days. Those exempt from these restrictions, such as U.S. citizens, will be directed to limited airports where screening can take place.”
Clarification from Mike Pence on Americans traveling back from Europe: “Americans coming home will be funneled through 13 different airports. They’ll be screened, and then we’re going to ask every American and legal resident returning to the United States to self-quarantine for 14 days.”
Trump: “These prohibitions will not only apply to the tremendous amount of trade and cargo.”

Trump: “I met with the leaders of health insurance industry who have agreed to waive all co-payments for coronavirus treatments, extend insurance coverage to these treatments, and to prevent surprise medical billing.”
Trump's claim tonight that health insurers "have agreed to waive all copayments for coronavirus treatments" seems to be news to them.
“For testing. Not for treatment.” a spokesperson for the major insurance lobby AHIP says.

Mike Pence appeared on several morning shows with more information on all of the above points. Take a look at what he told NBC’s Savannah Guthrie above.
