It looks like some of Donald Trump’s supporters are trying to prepare a defense for the President should a tape surface that shows him using the n-word (as Omarosa Manigault Newman alleges).
Georgia State Senator Michael Williams told CNN’s Victor Blackwell that if Trump said it before he was President he’s willing to overlook it. Here’s part of the exchange:
Blackwell: You don’t have a problem of the office of the president using the “n” word.
Williams: He did not use it in that office. He used it outside his office. If he was president and goes on tv and uses the “n” word, he did it before he was president.
GA Sen.: I don’t have a problem with Donald Trump having used the N-word in the past as my presidenthttps://t.co/4DmBZilJ0Q

Williams went on to say:
“He has not used that word. As a president today, he has not done that. To hold somebody accountable for something he did years ago as our president today, I think it sets a bad precedent.”
