Joe Biden had some heavyweight star power at his inauguration ceremony. Lady Gaga was widely applauded for her “stunning” version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” (watch above). Lady Gaga wrote, “Singing our National Anthem for the American People is my honor… My intention is to acknowledge our past, be healing for our present, and passionate for a future where we work together lovingly. I will sing to the hearts of all people who live on this land.”
Jennifer Lopez also performed singing a medley of “This Land is Your Land” and “America the Beautiful.” She also mixed in some of the pledge of allegiance in Spanish.

Garth Brooks closed out the ceremony with “Amazing Grace.” Before the event, the country singer remarked, “This is a great day in our household. This is not a political statement, this is a statement of unity… This is history. And it’s an honor, this is how I get to serve this country.”

Brooks was invited to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration four years ago but turned down the invite saying he was busy on a concert tour.
