Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is on a book tour, but it seems more like a tour to defend her old boss, Donald Trump. Today in an interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie. Here are a couple of her statements on the president that are raising eyebrows:
“He has been stronger on Russia than any previous president.”
“In every instance that I dealt with him, he was truthful, he listened and he was great to work.”
And here is her assessment on the infamous call between Trump and the Ukranian president.
“I think it’s never a good practice for us to ask a foreign country to investigate an American. Just not a good practice. Having said that, there’s no insistence on that call. There are no demands on that call. It is a conversation between two presidents that’s casual in nature, and you know, it’s just hard to find anywhere that the president of Ukraine would have thought funds were being held and that he had to do this.”
Nikki Haley picked the wrong month to release a book. She's getting roasted by *everyone*. I wonder if she thought this was going to be a softball interview. Because it was *not*. #tuesdaymorning #todayshowpic.twitter.com/s596nOU5CQ

Some say Haley is going to great lengths to defend Trump to try to convince him to put her on the ticket in 2020.
