There is a push to expel Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress. So why is House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) rewarding her with a spot on the House Education and Labor Committee? Over the last couple of days, reports have surfaced that Greene has harassed students from Parkland High School after the massacre there, and social media posts also came to light where she showed support for executing Democratic politicians including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. This is on top of her already known ties to QAnon and support of various conspiracy theories.
Prior to her election, @mtgreenee spent her free time harassing Parkland survivors, calling the #MSD shooting a hoax, and endorsed executing Congress members. Her blatant lies and irresponsible acts are dangerous, repulsive and demand swift consequences from the US House. https://t.co/0CYn8TnM3q

Today, Parkland survivor David Hogg talked with CNN about this (watch above):
“Republicans always act as if they’re the party of decency and respect. But would the party of decency and respect … harass the survivors of these shootings for having different opinions than them?”

A spokesperson for Rep. McCarthy reacted to the recent news surrounding Greene saying, “These comments are deeply disturbing and Leader McCarthy plans to have a conversation with the Congresswoman about them.” But Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had this reaction, “When I hear that Rep. McCarthy is going to pull a member aside who’s made white supremacist-sympathizing comments, I think, what is he going to tell them? Keep it up?”
“There are no consequences in the Republican caucus for violence. No consequences for racism. No consequences for misogyny. No consequences for insurrection. And no consequences means that they condone it. It means that that silence is acceptance," says @AOC. pic.twitter.com/4jkKfb718K

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez isn’t the only speaking out against Greene, she has some Republicans agreeing with her.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is "not a Republican," @RepKinzinger says. "She may be like this new definition of Republican, but that's kind of a RINO thing, a Republican in name only is what she is … I don't think she should have the privilege of any committees." pic.twitter.com/jqKIqTHI1J

Congressman Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) introduced a resolution, writing this about Greene, “Her very presence in office represents a direct threat against the elected officials and staff who serve our government, and it is with their safety in mind, as well as the security of institutions and public servants across our country, that I call on my House colleagues to support my resolution to immediately remove Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from this legislative body.”
I don’t need to explain why @RepMTG is a clear and present danger to Congress and our democracy. She did it herself.
And she must go.
I’m introducing a resolution to expel her from Congress immediately: https://t.co/45KyC59WDU

It sure sounds like Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi would support action against Greene as well. Here’s what she said today.
.@SpeakerPelosi on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene: "Assigning her to the Education Committee, when she has mocked the killing of little children…what could they be thinking?!? Or is thinking too generous a word for what they might be doing? It's absolutely appalling." pic.twitter.com/LtHtA4l6C1

As for how Greene is reacting to all this. This about says it all. At a townhall Greene hosted last night in her district, one reporter tried to ask questions about all this and wasn’t just shut down, she was threatened with arrest.
WATCH: This is the moment Rep. Greene’s office says our team “caused a disturbance” by asking a question, just as others who were attending the town hall had done previously. You can hear the deputy say my team would be charged with “criminal trespass” if they didn’t leave. pic.twitter.com/mP1ZXYzTil

CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski also noted this action from Greene.
Marjorie Taylor Greene's account has deleted 19 tweets in the last 12 hours.
Greene is also scrubbing her Facebook of old posts and videos from 2018 and 2019 where she spread conspiracies and endorsed violence against Democratic lawmakers. pic.twitter.com/3HoVGU2VZR
