While Barack Obama reportedly won’t be endorsing any candidate yet, today Joe Biden is using Obama’s own words in his latest ad (watch above). The narration for the commercial was pulled from the Medal Of Freedom ceremony where Biden was honored.
It should come as no surprise Obama’s team knew about Biden’s video today. It’s part of the rollout previewed before the launch, I’m told. A key objective is to wrap Biden in as much Obama glow as he can. No objection from Obama—not that his blessing is required, of course.)

This comes as a new poll shows Biden getting a big bump after officially announcing his run for president. CNN reports:
A new CNN poll conducted by SSRS after Biden’s announcement on Thursday shows 39% of voters who are Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents saying he is their top choice for the nomination, up from 28% who said the same in March. That puts Biden more than 20 points ahead of his nearest competitor, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont — who holds 15% support in the poll — and roughly 30 points ahead of the next strongest candidate, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren (8%).
.@DrBiden to @RobinRoberts on what differentiates @JoeBiden from other Democratic candidates: “The one thing that does differentiate you is experience. He doesn’t need any on the job training…so from day one Joe can take everything.” https://t.co/wfHtIS0Nku pic.twitter.com/1PmlhazDOc
