While making a campaign stop in Michigan today, Joe Biden reacted to excerpts from Bob Woodward’s new book, “Rage.” Specifically, direct quotes from Donald Trump downplaying the threat coronavirus posed. Biden remarked:
“He knew how deadly it was, that it was much more deadly than the flu. He knew and purposely played it down. Worse he lied to the American people. He knowingly and willingly lied about the threat it posed to the country for months. He had the information. He knew how dangerous it was. And while a deadly disease ripped through our nation, he failed to do his job — on purpose.”
Joe Biden accused President Trump of "a life-and-death betrayal of the American people" hours after journalist Bob Woodward revealed ahead of the publication of his new book, "Rage," that Trump had concealed the true threat posed by coronavirus. https://t.co/UiDbqMI5bW pic.twitter.com/tpI6YCBeps
