Can Ivanka Trump have it both ways? Can she be an advisor to the President and first daughter too? She traveled to South Korea as an official representative of the U.S. Government, as Donald Trump pointed out:
My daughter, Ivanka, just arrived in South Korea. We cannot have a better, or smarter, person representing our country.

That was all well and good until she agreed to an interview with NBC where Peter Alexander asked a question any reporter worth his salt would ask a presidential advisor. It was about her father’s many women accusers. She quickly took off her advisor cap and put on her daughter cap saying:
“I think it’s a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated that there’s no truth to it. I don’t think that’s a question you would ask many other daughters.”
Seems she wants to play both sides of the coin. Watch the interview above and see how some journalists are reacting below.
-Should the president's daughter be handling diplomacy in South Korea?
"She's not just his daughter, she's a senior White House adviser"
-Did the president commit sexual misconduct?
"How dare you ask that of the president's daughter" https://t.co/2d6lWARVaV— Dave Itzkoff (@ditzkoff) February 26, 2018
This is why drives Gen. Kelly crazy about Jared and Ivanka: He says you’re either family or you’re staff, but believes they often try to have it both ways… https://t.co/aaH0DQwEkB

The White House went out of its way to make clear that Ivanka Trump traveled to South Korea as a senior adviser to the president, not a First Daughter. But as soon as she’s hit with a difficult question, suddenly she’s a daughter. https://t.co/yxn44dbDDK
