A fast-moving fire dubbed the #SaddleRidgeFire is moving through the San Fernando Valley. Dozens of homes have been seen in flames this morning. It broke out around 9pm Thursday night and has now consumed more than 4,600 acres with 0% containment. It’s being fueled by Santa Ana winds.

The mandatory evacuations are centered around Porter Ranch. It’s a neighborhood, with about 30,000 residents, located northwest of Burbank. Officials added that the “fire is rapidly moving west towards the northern portions of Granada Hills.. and Chatsworth, in the vicinity of the 118 freeway. Be prepared and ready to evacuate if given the order.” In all about 100,000 residents are said to be under evacuation orders.Â

Due to smoke conditions, at least five freeways have been shutdown.
