This is highly unusual. Donald Trump is trying to interfere in the election via a state that Joe Biden won by more than 155,000 votes, Michigan. The Associated Press reports:
President Donald Trump summoned Michigan’s Republican legislative leaders to the White House for a meeting Friday amid a longshot GOP push to overturn the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s victory in the battleground state.
Two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press that Trump invited Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey and House Speaker Lee Chatfield. They agreed to go, according to a state official aware of the leaders’ plans.
To this point: President Trump has invited Republican state lawmakers from Michigan to the White House on Friday, according to a person familiar with the matter, as he works to interfere in the results of the election. @Kevinliptakcnn reporting https://t.co/2R8t1LEHph

The New York Times says this “is the latest — and the most brazen — salvo in a scattershot campaign-after-the-campaign waged by Mr. Trump and his allies to cast doubt on President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s decisive victory.”
The move came after two GOP members from Wayne County Board of Canvassers signed an affidavit saying they want to rescind votes to certify the election.
The Michigan secretary of state says the 2 GOP Wayne County board members cannot rescind their certification.
There is no path to reverse Michigan or Pennsylvania… or Wisconsin or Georgia or Arizona.
Biden's 306 electoral votes are legally assured. https://t.co/iiKRe78IXr— Jed Shugerman (@jedshug) November 19, 2020
