Omarosa Manigault Newman claims tapes exist of Donald Trump using the “n” word on the set of “Celebrity Apprentice” and at least one other contestant from the show is backing up her claims. Magician Penn Jillette told Vulture he was “in the room” and heard Trump say damaging things. Jillette said:

“I can emotionally tell you things that happened racially, sexually, and that showed stupidity and lack of compassion when I was in the room with Donald Trump.”

While it would seem having these allegations confirmed on video or audio tape is important, the Daily Show’s Trevor Noah and Roy Wood Jr. argue (and joke) that releasing the tape would be bad for the black community. Wood said:

“Whenever Trump crosses a line it only emboldens people to follow.”

“The last thing we need is his supporters hearing him say the N-word because then the floodgates open, we are going to hear Trump supporters using that word everywhere.”
