President Biden hosted the first Rose Garden ceremony of his administration Friday to mark the occasion of his first major legislative victory, the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill. He was joined by Vice-President Kamala Harris, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and other members of Congress.

The ceremony was quite the contrast from the actual signing of the bill, which Biden did in a nearly empty Oval Office on Thursday. The idea was to get the wheels in motion to begin sending relief checks by the end of the week.
