When Donald Trump came out to deliver remarks on the state of the coronavirus vaccine Friday, something felt different. The current president felt more irrelevant than ever. CNN’s Anderson Cooper captured this at this top of his show saying:
“I was about to start off tonight telling you about you-know-who and what outrage he’s done today, not accepting the results, blah blah blah…it doesn’t matter. It’s done. He is done. He is the past.”
Instead, Cooper got emotional as he proceeded to talk about “what really matters.”
“I can’t spend another second concerned about what a grown man who lost fair and square is not ready to accept. I am not ready to accept that there could be 400,000 dead Americans by the first of February. Doesn’t matter what I think, what I can’t accept. That’s the reality if we don’t do better.”
