Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan left the stage as he began to give a keynote address today at a Georgetown University Law Center immigration conference. PBS writes:
As McAleenan took the podium to give the conference’s keynote address, protesters stood up, holding large black banners that read “Hate is Not Normal” and yelled the names of children who died while in immigration custody. After being yelled over by protesters several times, McAleenan left the room.
"When immigrants come under attack, what do we do? Stand up, fight back!"
