Two Members Of Congress Get Skewered For Voting Against Life-Saving Program

Welcome

WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 06: In this screenshot taken from a congress.gov webcast, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) speaks during a House debate session to ratify the 2020 presidential election at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 in Washington, DC. Congress held a joint session today to ratify President-elect Joe Biden's 306-232 Electoral College win over President Donald Trump. A group of Republican senators said they would reject the Electoral College votes of several states unless Congress appointed a commission to audit the election results. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) are no strangers to controversy, but their latest move, even for them, is a head-scratcher. The two Congresswomen are the only ones in the House of Representatives who voted against The Transplant Act. It helps support The National Marrow Donor Program. According to one of the bill’s supporters, Republican congressman Tom Emmer, this supports those “in need of life-saving bone marrow, blood stem cell, or cord blood.” It helps treat those with blood cancers and other diseases. Emmer said voting yes on this “represents the best of who we are as society.”

So why on earth would anyone vote against saving lives? Here’s what the Twittersphere is saying.
