Donald Trump has taken to Twitter more than 2300 times this year. It is without a doubt the most powerful weapon in his political arsenal. Twitter is Trump in the raw. Where would he be without Twitter? Where would we be? The answer to the latter is much better off. Nonetheless, the tweets keep on coming and most White House observers believe they are the most accurate account of Trump’s thinking. We’ve taken on the dubious task of assembling some of the more memorable ones.
Remember this? The time Trump may have admitted to obstruction of justice in a tweet. Later his attorney said he actually crafted the tweet (wink, wink).
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!

This was one of the more recent ones. After endorsing Roy Moore and campaigning for him in a neighboring state, Trump acted rather detached from the failed candidate.
The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!

Normally Presidents don’t criticize other world leaders by resorting to language you’d expect from a third grader, but that’s exactly what happened in this tweet about Kim Jong-un.
Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me “old,” when I would NEVER call him “short and fat?” Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend – and maybe someday that will happen!

Of course there were also his retweets, who can forget when he retweeted three anti-muslim videos. Then proceeded to lash out at UK Prime Minister Theresa May.
@TheresaMayimPM Don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom. We are doing just fine! Your sense of customs isn’t the only valid one. The truth will not be silenced!

One of Trump’s favorite subjects to tweet about is no doubt Hillary Clinton. When most candidates beat someone they don’t act like they are still competing with them, but that’s not the case for Trump. There were lots of tweets to choose from, but this is one that stood out.
Crooked Hillary Clinton is the worst (and biggest) loser of all time. She just can’t stop, which is so good for the Republican Party. Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years!

And former President Barack Obama wasn’t spared either.
How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!

For someone who holds the most powerful office in the world you have to imagine you have more important things to worry about than the NFL. Not the case with Trump. He tweeted about sports numerous times and the NFL players who kneeled really hit him hard.
…NFL attendance and ratings are WAY DOWN. Boring games yes, but many stay away because they love our country. League should back U.S.

He also really showed he cares what celebrities think about him.
Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a…..

The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

.@NBCNews is bad but Saturday Night Live is the worst of NBC. Not funny, cast is terrible, always a complete hit job. Really bad television!

Back in September, with Puerto Rico dealing with the catastrophic after effects of Hurricane Maria, Trump lashed out at San Juan’s mayor.
…Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They….

And last, but certainly not least Trump often took to Twitter to bash the media and to perpetuate the term “fake news,” even when the news was in no way false information.
FAKE NEWS media knowingly doesn’t tell the truth. A great danger to our country. The failing @nytimes has become a joke. Likewise @CNN. Sad!
