News from Axios this morning that Donald Trump wants to change the paint color for the next Air Force One.  The current look goes back 50 years and was designed by President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.

According to Axios:

  • We’re told that Trump wants a color scheme that “looks more American” and isn’t a “Jackie Kennedy color.” He doesn’t think the current blue (technically “luminous ultramarine”) represents the USA.
  • The president’s preferred design is believed to include red, white and blue.

Trump is said to also want a new bed on the next plane.  But he’ll have to be re-elected to enjoy it.  The next Air Force One won’t be finished until after his term ends.
