President Trump tweeted late Saturday night that his resort, Trump Doral, is no longer being considered to host the G7 summit next year. Other sites will be considered, according to Trump. Among the contenders are Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland.

Trump wrote on Twitter:

“I thought I was doing something very good for our country by using Trump National Doral, in Miami, for hosting the G-7 leaders,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter on Saturday, before again promoting the resort’s amenities. “But, as usual, the hostile media & Democrat partners went CRAZY!”

Trump came under heavy criticism from Democrats and Republicans for awarding the summit to a hotel he owns.
