The pieces of the Donald Trump/Michael Cohen puzzle continue to come together. Last month Trump said he didn’t know about the $130,000 payment his lawyer made to Stormy Daniels. Then two weeks ago Trump’s new attorney, Rudy Giuliani said Trump had in fact repaid Cohen the money. As if that wasn’t head spinning enough, Trump noted two days later that Giuliani still had to get “his facts straight.” Now the latest fact is, according to Trump’s newly filed financial disclosure, Trump did reimburse Cohen a similar amount of money. ABC News reports:
“President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen is mentioned in a footnote on page 45 of the report.
‘In the interest of transparency, while not required to be disclosed as ‘reportable liabilities’ on Part 8, in 2016 expenses were incurred by one of Donald J. Trump’s attorneys, Michael Cohen. Mr. Cohen sought reimbursement of those expenses and Mr. Trump fully reimbursed Mr. Cohen in 2017. The category of value would be $100,001 – $250,000 and the interest rate would be zero.’”
