As if a classified meeting between members of Congress and the Department of Justice wasn’t raising enough red flags Thursday, add this to the mix. Donald Trump’s attorney in  the Russia investigation showed up as well.

The Hill reports:

“Emmet Flood, a White House lawyer handling the Russia investigation, was seen Thursday afternoon at a pair of classified meetings between members of Congress and senior Justice Department officials about the FBI’s tactics in the probe.

Flood did not stay for the entirety of either meeting, leaving shortly after they were convened. It was not immediately clear why he was present.”

The meeting was originally made up of all Republicans, but NBC reports:

“Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, was issued an invitation to the noon ET Justice Department briefing, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., told reporters at the Capitol on Thursday.”
