The tax bill may be a triumph for Donald Trump, but it is also reigniting the call for the President to release his own tax returns.
As we finish up debate, I would just like to note that, at any point during this tax code rewrite, congressional Republicans could have insisted Trump disclose his tax returns.
They didn’t — and part of the reason is they know this is a huge cut for Trump.

Today would be a good day for @realDonaldTrump to release his tax returns.

The talking point for the White House hasn’t changed on this, Trump and his associates insist he can’t release his tax returns because they are under audit. It is a line that is clearly frustrating some in the White House press room, Tuesday one reporter challenged press secretary Sarah Sanders on the issue.

The problem with Sanders statement is that the IRS has said, “Nothing prevents individuals from sharing their own tax information.”
Reporters need to keep pressing the White House for the release of the returns, BUT the Congress and Senate should lead the charge on this.

In the meantime since Trump clearly isn’t releasing his tax returns, a millionaire decided to release his to show how the GOP plan favors the rich.
