There are so many firsts in the Biden administration. One of them involves the spouse of the Vice President. It’s the first time in history a man has been in this role. When Joe Biden and Kamala Harris first won the election back in November, there were questions about what Harris’ husband’s title would be. It was decided Doug Emhoff would go by “Second Gentleman” and today that title has been made more official, as it’s been added to Merriam Webster’s dictionary. The definition reads, “the husband or male partner of a vice president or second in command of a country or jurisdiction.”

Also, Emhoff joined Georgetown University as a law professor. He taught his first class in “Entertainment Law Disputes” today.
