We knew Donald Trump would probably have something to say about Roseanne Barr’s tweet and subsequential show cancellation, but we didn’t know he would play it this way. Instead of defending Barr (or condemning what she said) he decided to somehow spin ABC’s action in the whole mess to make it about him. This isn’t the first time Trump has made something Roseanne related about him. When the show first debuted, he also took credit for the ratings.
Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that “ABC does not tolerate comments like those” made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?

“Trump is implying that he is the victim of a liberal media double standard. There are additional political overtones to the dispute since Iger seriously considered a 2020 run against Trump. He deliberated about it with friends and financiers last year, but ultimately decided against a run.”
Sniveling self-pity by @realDonaldTrump instead of any condemnation of Roseanne’s grotesque racism. Just what one would expect. https://t.co/wJHSW191lw

Since Trump is asking for an apology for “horrible statements,” some people can’t help but ask when Trump himself will apologize for the horrible things he has said.
Trump, who never apologizes, wants an apology. https://t.co/2CCThOxdl5

Why would anybody ever apologize to you?? I never heard you apologize for your womanizing, cheating on your wife, the lies about your taxes, the lies about russian contacts, the lies about obama, the list goes on!! Donald J. Trump you are deplorable and a racist!

With all due respect, Mr. President. Given that the HORRIBLE things said about you on ABC were both true and not racist slurs, then the person who needs to apologize is you, President Donald J. Trump. Maybe the American people did not get the call? Sad.
