Rep. Eric Swalwell Attacked For Wearing A Mask

Welcome

WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 15: Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) wears a protective mask while speaking during a House Intelligence Committee hearing on April 15, 2021 in Washington, D.C. The hearing follows the release of an unclassified report by the intelligence community detailing the U.S. and its allies will face "a diverse array of threats" in the coming year, with aggression by Russia, China and Iran. If you thought the CDC put an end to the politicization of the mask with its new guidance for vaccinated people, think again. Today Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) says he was “bullied” by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s spokesman for wearing a mask. He responded with an expletive but explains he could have gone further.

Even though the CDC says vaccinated people don’t have to wear a mask (in most situations), there are still those who choose to keep the mask on. It’s a personal choice and may be based on a lot of factors.

Sadly, this notion is lost on some who continue to politicize wearing a mask. For instance, former pro-Trump communications strategist Caleb Hull seemed really upset to see the First Lady wearing a mask.

It won’t come as a surprise that Tucker Carlson also thinks those who have been vaccinated have no business wearing masks (note this remark was made before the CDC’s change in guidance).
