It’s a lonely place to be in the GOP, but that isn’t stopping Rep. Adam Kinzinger from amping up his criticism of Donald Trump.
No one in the Republican party is providing a stronger rebuke of the current president. Today on CNN’s State of the Union, Kinzinger also said the plans by some of his colleagues to somehow have Congress overthrow the certified results of every state “is a scam.”
“It is a scam and it is going to disappoint the people that believe this election was stolen, that think this is an opportunity to change it. But instead of being disappointed in the people that led them on this drifting scam, they will somehow… try to convince these people that it was, I don’t know, what is the new word is in the RINOs in Congress and not the institution that presents this from happening in the first place. We talk about the constitution and we have to follow it and I’m sorry if that doesn’t mean the outcome was what you wanted.”
There are a couple other Republicans backing Kinzinger, but not enough.
