Quote Of The Day: Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

Welcome

SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - OCTOBER 16: Gov. Gretchen Whitmer introduces Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden delivers remarks about health care at Beech Woods Recreation Center October 16, 2020 in Southfield,m Michigan. With 18 days until the election, Biden is campaigning in Michigan, a state President Donald Trump won in 2016 by less than 11,000 votes, the narrowest margin of victory in the state's presidential election history. Donald Trump is reverting to his 2016 schtick. There he was Saturday night, campaigning in Michigan where he said the governor “wants to be a dictator… and the people can’t stand her.” The crowd then began chanting, “lock her up.”

Today, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said Trump has to stop. Earlier this month, the FBI foiled a kidnap plot against Whitmer.

“It’s incredibly disturbing that the president of the United States — 10 days after a plot to kidnap, put me on trial and execute me — 10 days after that was uncovered, the president is at it again and inspiring and incentivizing … domestic terrorism.”

“It’s wrong. It’s got to end. It’s dangerous, not just for me and my family, but for public servants everywhere who are doing their jobs and trying to protect their fellow Americans. People of good will on both sides of the aisle need to step up and call this out and bring the heat down.” Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

And it appears the people actually can stand the governor as her approval ratings in the state are higher than Donald Trump’s.
