Welcome

President Joe Biden has only been in office 27 days, but that isn’t stopping Republicans from looking ahead to 2024. A new poll from Politico show Trump “currently swamps any potential rival. Fifty-three percent of Republicans said they would vote for Trump if the primary were held today.”

The other potential candidates aren’t even close. This should be a wake-up call to Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley. Hawley, clearly has his sights set on running for president, but he barely even registers on the poll.

Of course, this poll needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt. A lot can happen between now and 2024, but at the same time we’ve learned you can’t underestimate the grip Trump has on the GOP.
