Counting on Oprah Winfrey to be next TV star to occupy the White House? Don’t get your hopes up. Winfrey tells In Style magazine, “I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it. ”

Speculation exploded over the possibility of a Winfrey run after her speech at The Golden Globe Awards on January 7th.  She did little to quash speculation at the time and friends were telling any reporter who’d listen that she was interested in challenging Donald Trump.  Winfrey could, of course, change her mind in the next few years, but if she’s poll watching she would see her path to the White House won’t be easy. Polls show that Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have a better chance at beating Trump in 2020.  Biden has said he’s not closing the door on running.

And, it looks like Sanders is already exploring whether he will run again.
