All members of Congress are eligible to get the vaccine, but there are questions today over whether that means all members SHOULD actually receive the shot this early in the distribution process. You can certainly argue that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, third in line for the presidency should get the vaccine. And the same goes for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Both are also over the age of 75, so they also have age as a risk factor. But should young healthy members of Congress receive the vaccines before the majority of healthcare workers and the elderly? That is up for debate after Senator Marco Rubio tweeted that he received the vaccine at the head of the line.
I’m an ER doctor and despite trying, I have not yet been able to be vaccinated. https://t.co/xEdhs35tIK

Then today, more controversy after Rubio tweeted, “People are tired of being told they have to stay home & can’t work or open their business by people who break their own rules and haven’t missed a paycheck.”
