Weather.com: Dorian Now a Hurricane Moving Through the U.S. Virgin Islands; Hurricane Threat Grows For Southeast U.S.
Dorian is now a hurricane as it pushes through the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, the first storm there since 2017’s Hurricane Maria, and is an increasing danger to the Southeast U.S., including Florida, over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
As Dorian strengthens, there is a bit of good news for Puerto Rico. The storm is no longer expected to make a direct hit and it may not be a major wind event for the island. Flooding remains a major concern for the residents there.
