VOX: This golden statue of Trump at CPAC is a perfect metaphor for the state of the GOP
Apparently CPAC attendees missed the part of the Bible about the Golden Calf.
Two years ago it was Donald Trump hugging a flag, this time around it’s a golden statue of the former president in patriotic shorts. It’s an image that is hard to take seriously.
I asked CPAC if they were afraid of offending God with a golden Trump statue and they said "Trump is God."
