USA Today: Secret Service for Trump Jr.’s Mongolia trip to hunt rare sheep cost $76,000, watchdog says
Donald Trump Jr.’s trip to Mongolia, where he reportedly killed a threatened argali sheep, cost $60,000 more than first reported, a watchdog group found.
Citizens for Ethics writes that “The eight day trip was already controversial for many reasons: Don Jr. was retroactively awarded a permit to hunt an endangered argali sheep after he already killed it, he had a private meeting with Mongolia’s president that we still don’t know much about, and hunted alongside a major Republican donor.”
