Vox: Trump’s lawyer argues If Trump shoots someone on 5th Avenue, “nothing could be done”
President Trump’s lawyer argued in court on Wednesday that he should, as president, be immune from criminal prosecution — even if he murders someone in broad daylight with a gun.
You really have to hear this with your ears to believe a lawyer actually tried to argue in court that Trump was truly above the law.
Here is Trump's lawyer, William Consovoy, telling Judge Denny Chin that if Trump were to shoot someone on fifth avenue, he could not be criminally investigated while in office.
