TIME: Scientists Have Discovered a New Organ in the Human Body
What is the interstitium?
You may expect to hear about discoveries in outer space but turns out scientists are still discovering parts inside of our own bodies. The bubble-wrap like organ that’s under your skin acts as a shock absorber, helping to protect muscles and other organs. It may also be a clue as to why some cancers spread so quickly through the body.
