The Week: John Kelly is now literally profiting off migrant child detention
Kelly has now joined the board of Caliburn International, the company has confirmed to CBS News. Caliburn is the parent company of Comprehensive Health Services, which operates four massive for-profit shelters that have government contracts to house unaccompanied migrant children.
John Kelly hasn’t strayed far from his previous job, but his new gig may be more lucrative. As Politico’s Timothy Noah said, “Kelly has found a way to make money off Trump’s child-separation.”
Indecent. Immoral. Corrupt.
John Kelly drove Trump’s child separation policy that inflicted trauma on thousands of children. Now he’ll get paid to increase profits for Caliburn – the for-profit prison reaping mega-millions locking up migrant children. https://t.co/2pcy7pcGY5
