The Hill: Trump wins CPAC straw poll with 55 percent
Former President Trump won the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) straw poll on Sunday, with 55 percent of respondents saying they would vote for him in a hypothetical 2024 primary.
While we all knew Donald Trump would top a poll at CPAC, it’s interesting to see that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis easily won second place. This is the kind of poll that should make Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley reassess their plans for 2024.
