The Hill: Trump social media summit attendees clash with reporters in Rose Garden
A handful of conservative personalities who attended President Trump’s social media summit on Thursday clashed with reporters in the Rose Garden after they were invited to sit in on an announcement about the census.
The circus came to the White House today. Donald Trump invited a bunch of polarizing, ultra conservative social media personalities to the White House. As if that wasn’t ridiculous enough, he then let them attend a news event in the Rose Garden. That’s where things went from bad to worse.
WH officials invited Trump's social media allies to sit in the Rose Garden. But after the event was over, West Wing aides did nothing when those social media figures began to verbally abuse reporters who were trying to do their jobs. A good snapshot of how press is treated by WH. https://t.co/j0Ys542dok
