The Hill: Only 35 arrested in ICE raids touted by Trump
Just 35 people were taken into custody during the recent series of highly publicized raids targeting more than 2,100 immigrant family members with deportation orders.
There sure was a lot of talk, especially by Donald Trump, for a roundup that only brought in a few dozen migrants.
Is Matthew Albence, the acting director of ICE, subtly criticizing @realDonaldTrump here?
The NYT reports that 2000 migrants were targeted in raids, but only 35 were arrested.
Albence seems to blame those who telegraphed raids in advance, as Trump did:https://t.co/UdRCp3Rstk pic.twitter.com/X2hGwOxKow
