The public park in Washington D.C. that was the site of one of the most notorious photo-ops of the Trump era opened to pedestrian traffic Monday after nearly a year.
Joggers, walkers and cyclists could be seen throughout Lafayette Square, which is across the street from the White House. The park had been closed to the public since last June, after authorities were ordered to clear the area so then-president Trump could walk to St. John’s Episcopal Church to pose for photos.
