The Hill: House committee requests hearing with postmaster general amid mail-in voting concerns
The House Oversight and Reform Committee on Monday asked Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to answer questions at an upcoming hearing as concerns mount over delivery delays and how they could affect mail-in voting
This comes shortly after Louis DeJoy, a Trump donor, has come under scrutiny for “cost savings” he has put into place that slow mail down and threaten the election.
🚨BREAKING: I’ll be chairing an @OversightDems hearing with Postmaster General DeJoy on September 17 to examine recent changes to operations & standards and the need for on-time mail delivery during the ongoing #covid pandemic and the upcoming election.https://t.co/fgmbnSHUWQ
