Tampa Bay Times: Florida’s felon voting law leaves thousands wondering whether it’s safe to vote
Amendment 4 from 2018 was supposed to restore the vote to up to 1.4 million felons. Instead, it might be America’s biggest case of voter disenfranchisement.
This investigation, done in conjunction with ProPublica finds “only a small percentage of the 1.4 million felons who’d hoped to have voting rights restored will be able to vote this election. Some could face criminal prosecution if they cast a ballot.”
