Reuters: Trump says date, place set for North Korea summit
President Donald Trump on Friday said the date and location have been set for a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, building suspense for the unprecedented talks and hinting at progress in freeing three Americans held in North Korea.
It’s no secret that Trump likes drama, and this morning he served reporters a cliffhanger before boarding Air Force One. He teased them that a time and place has been set for the North Korea summit but neither he nor the White House has announced the official details yet. Earlier this week, however, Trump said that possible meeting places include the DMZ and Singapore. In the meantime, U.S. government officials are looking into the possibility that North Korea will release three American prisoners prior to the meeting.
