Rep. Carolyn Maloney becomes acting chair of House Oversight Committee after Elijah Cummings’ death
A permanent head for the panel, which is helping to lead an impeachment probe into President Trump, will be elected later.
Maloney will take the reigns while the caucus decides how to proceed with elected a permanent chair.
